DCM-20 combines latest optical liquid measurement technology with a solid design
With its DCM-20, KxS Technologies impressed the jury of the Red Dot Design Awards to receive the Red Dot seal of quality in the industrial design category. The optical concentration monitor scored equally well for its functionality and compact design. Statement by the 50-person jury says: “The DCM-20 presents a clear design which is well thought out with regard to its multiple functions.”

Measurement technology for next decades
In industrial process measurement and automation, demand is steadily rising for high-end, reliable and maintenance-free liquid monitoring instrumentation in compact format. The new DCM-20 from KxS Technologies fulfills these requirements and can be deployed across various industries. The inline Brix monitor serves applications in beverage interface detection in filling lines, dairy products and fruit&vegetable juice quality control, and whey separation in membrane filtration systems.
In addition, DCM-20 offers client users easy commissioning with built in calibration, so no regular field calibration is expected. The refractometer measures not only liquid concentration, but also the process temperature.
The Red Dot Award:
Product Design, whose origins date back to 1955, appraises the best products created every year. In roughly 50 categories, manufacturers and designers can enter their innovations in the competition. According to the motto “In search of good design and innovation”, the jury evaluates the entries and only awards a Red Dot to products that win them over with their high design quality.
